Replacement of the input timing belt

To make the replacement of the input timing belt for the Aveo model, it's necessary to have the following tools:

  • Timing belt.
  • Angle Meter.
  • Angular torque meter.
  • Steps 1 - DISASSEMBLY

The first thing you must do is drain the coolant from the engine.

Once this step is completed, the next step will be to disconnect the following components:

  • The negative battery cable
  • The ground terminal of the engine control module (ECM) from the intake manifold.

  • Drain the engine coolant. See Drain and fill system. Cooling of the engine.
  • Inlet air temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
  • Accelerator body air intake tube.

  • Idle air control valve connector (IAC).
  • Accelerator position sensor (TP) connector.
  • Inlet hose of the coolant distributor heater, located under the intake manifold.
  • The coolant hose of the compensation tank in the throttle body.
  • All vacuum hoses, including the vacuum hose in the fuel pressure regulator and the vacuum hose of the brake booster in the intake manifold.
  • The throttle cable of the throttle body and the intake manifold.
  • Then, you must remove the 2 throttle cable support bolts and the throttle cable bracket.

After performing the removal of the bolts, proceed to disconnect the fuel supply line from the fuel rail and the connectors of the fuel injectors of the fuel injectors.

    Finally, we can only withdraw:

  • The 2 retention bolts of the fuel injector rail.
  • The fuel injectors and the fuel injector rail as an assembly.
  • The band of serpentine accessories.
  • Bolt and alternator support.
  • The 3 retaining bolts of the intake manifold support of the intake manifold and the engine block.
  • The support of the admission distributor.
  • The retaining nuts of the intake manifold and the engine loader support bolt in the sequence shown.
  • The admission manifold.
  • The packaging of the admission distributor.

  • Warning:

    - Clean the sealing surfaces of the intake manifold and cylinder head.

    Steps 2 - INSTALLATION

To complete the installation, it's necessary to install the intake manifold gasket, the intake manifold, the intake manifold retaining nuts and the engine loader support bolt in the sequence shown below.

Finally, we have to make the adjustments of the parts by tightening the retaining nuts of the intake manifold in the sequence shown in the following image (16 lb-ft), and tighten the engine loader support bolt to 25 N · m (18 lb-ft).

Now, it would be necessary to carry out the final installation, which will be carried out through the following procedures:

  • Install the input distributor bracket.
  • Install the retaining bolts of the intake manifold bracket. Squeeze in. When you do that, you'll need to tighten the retaining bolts of the intake manifold bracket to 25 N · m (18 lb-ft).
  • Install the bolts and alternator bracket. Squeeze in. Likewise, you'll have to tighten the alternator bracket retaining bolts to 25 N · m (18 lb-ft).
  • Install the serpentine accessory band.

  • Install the fuel injectors and the fuel rail as a unit.
  • Install the fuel rail retaining bolts. Squeeze in, and tighten the fuel rail bolts to 25 N · m (18 lb-ft).

  • Now, we need to follow the next steps:

  • Connect the fuel supply line to the fuel rail.
  • Connect the throttle cable to the intake manifold and throttle body.
  • Connect the connectors of the fuel injectors to the fuel injectors.
  • Connect all vacuum lines that were previously disconnected.
  • Connect the heater inlet hose to the coolant distributor below the intake manifold.
  • Connect the coolant hose from the compensation tank to the throttle body.
  • Connect the IAC valve connector.
  • Connect the throttle position sensor connector.

  • Connect the air intake tube to the throttle body.
  • Connect the IAT sensor connector.
  • Connect the ground terminal of the ECM to the intake manifold.
  • Connect the negative battery cable.
  • Install the fuel pump fuse.
  • Refill the engine cooling system.

  • And you can already test with confidence the new input distributor replaced in your engine!

The new and improved Kia Sportage 2019 arrives

The new Kia Sportage does not suffer extreme extreme visual renewal, something understandable when it comes to a model that represents a quarter of the global sales of the brand. Under the same DNA and maintaining its essence, the Kia Sportage launches new front bumper with a larger air intake.

Its usual grill 'Tiger Noise' sports chromed inserts and gives way to its LED optics, with a modified interior appearance. The air intakes of the lateraeles also present a new design. For its part, in its rear also premieres rear bumper and new pilots. The Sportage finally launches a wide range of alloy wheels from 16 to 19 inches and five colors for your body.

In safety technology novelties, the Kia Sportage Recargada has:

    1. Blind spot detector
    2. Dynamax system with vector control of torque and traction
    3. Automatic braking assistant in the city
    4. Automatic descent control on slopes
    5. Cross traffic alert
    6. Cruise control

    The mechanics remain intact
All the versions of the Sportage Recargada have an engine of petrol MPI, 2 liters with 16 valves DOCH AND D-CVVT, that offers a power of 155 Hp and a torque of 196 Nm.

This block is combined with two transmission options of 6 Mechanical and automatic speeds.

The Fiat Toro version Endurance is offered only with the well-known motorcycle 1.8 E.torQ EVO that arrives with a six-speed automatic transmission, which is capable of accelerating it from 0 to 100 km / h in 16.1 seconds, with gasoline.

The Freedom 4 × 2 MT and Freedom 4 × 4 MT versions were eliminated, leaving only the Freedom 4 × 4 AT as the start of the range. The Technology Pack stopped offering to move on to incorporate such series options. The same happened with the Volcano 4 × 4 AT, which enriched its equipment level to the maximum without available options.

Equipment that is added as standard:

    Leather upholstery
    New tires 18 ''
7 Airbags (front, side, curtain and knee driver)
Driver's seat with electric regulation in 8 directions and passenger in 4 directions

Guarantee of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers
