Piston replacement, connector rod, and support
To make the replacement of the piston for the Aveo model, it's necessary to have the following tools:
To start the disassembly, the following components must be removed:
Once you have performed the procedures described above, you must move the piston to the bottom of the piston movement. Then, you must make a mark on the cap of the connecting rod. Next, it will be necessary to remove the bolts from the connecting rod cap, then the connecting rod cap and the lower connecting rod bearing, and finally the upper piston rod bearing.
Now you must make a push on the cylinder wall.
This will achieve the release of the piston and proceed to remove it, but be careful, it is advisable to use a piston ring expander tool to extend the piston rings and thus avoid injury.
Now remove the piston rings.
Remove the piston pin from the connecting rod and piston assembly with tool J 24086-B and proceed to separate the piston from the connecting rod.
The installation will be a little easier. The first thing to do is to align the notch in the piston and the connecting rod so that the correct sides are facing the front of the engine.
Then, you must install the piston pin guide through the piston and the connecting rod.
Cover the piston pin with clean oil, and install the piston pin on the opposite side of the piston, and the piston pin on the connecting rod and piston assembly with tool J 24086-B.
Once this is done, you must select a set of new piston rings. Before making such selection, observe the space of the piston ring with a lamella gauge. You'll have to increase this space by carefully filing excess material if the piston ring gap is below specifications.
Measure the side space of the piston ring again using a lamella gauge. If the piston ring is too thick, try another piston ring.
If you can not find a piston ring that conforms to the specifications, the piston ring can be rectified to fit your size with sandpaper placed on a sheet of glass.
Now, you have to follow the next instructions:
Position the oil rings (2), the grooves of the oil ring rail (3), the second compression ring (4) and the upper compression ring in relation to the notch in the upper part of the piston (1).
Also, you'll need to lubricate the cylinder wall and piston rings with clean engine oil, and then:
Finally, install the recovery tube/oil pump, the recovery tube bolts/oil pump. Tighten the bracket bolts and the recovery pump/oil pump to 10 N · m (89 lb in).
Also, install the crankcase, and the cylinder head with the intake manifold and exhaust manifold fixed.
And finally, with all these steps you have successfully completed the replacement!

The new Kia Sportage does not suffer extreme extreme visual renewal, something understandable when it comes to a model that represents a quarter of the global sales of the brand. Under the same DNA and maintaining its essence, the Kia Sportage launches new front bumper with a larger air intake.
Its usual grill 'Tiger Noise' sports chromed inserts and gives way to its LED optics, with a modified interior appearance. The air intakes of the lateraeles also present a new design. For its part, in its rear also premieres rear bumper and new pilots. The Sportage finally launches a wide range of alloy wheels from 16 to 19 inches and five colors for your body.
In safety technology novelties, the Kia Sportage Recargada has:
1. Blind spot detector
2. Dynamax system with vector control of torque and traction
3. Automatic braking assistant in the city
4. Automatic descent control on slopes
5. Cross traffic alert
6. Cruise control
The mechanics remain intact
All the versions of the Sportage Recargada have an engine of petrol MPI, 2 liters with 16 valves DOCH AND D-CVVT, that offers a power of 155 Hp and a torque of 196 Nm.
This block is combined with two transmission options of 6 Mechanical and automatic speeds.
The Fiat Toro version Endurance is offered only with the well-known motorcycle 1.8 E.torQ EVO that arrives with a six-speed automatic transmission, which is capable of accelerating it from 0 to 100 km / h in 16.1 seconds, with gasoline.
The Freedom 4 × 2 MT and Freedom 4 × 4 MT versions were eliminated, leaving only the Freedom 4 × 4 AT as the start of the range. The Technology Pack stopped offering to move on to incorporate such series options. The same happened with the Volcano 4 × 4 AT, which enriched its equipment level to the maximum without available options.
Equipment that is added as standard:
New tires 18 ''
7 Airbags (front, side, curtain and knee driver)
Driver's seat with electric regulation in 8 directions and passenger in 4 directions
Guarantee of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers
