Repair your car for free

Do you like mechanics? Welcome to our car mechanics site
where we will help you repair the most common faults of a car by providing tutorials for its repair.
The goal is to provide users with the correct knowledge to carry out their repair work on their cars.

The oxygen sensor is a piece that is placed in the exhaust system, before and after the catalytic converter. The second is to measure that the catalyst is working correctly.

Its function is to measure the amount of fuel and oxygen that leaves the engine of the car so that the computer regulates the injection of fuel and air into the combustion chamber.

A defective oxygen sensor will cause an inadequate fuel / air mixture, which in turn leads to an increase in harmful emissions from your exhaust system. The O2 sensors are designed to be replaced every 90,000 miles (144,837 km) or less, and because of this, they are considered to be "disposable" parts. In short, you can "fix" a defective or damaged oxygen sensor by replacing it.

Among the important pieces of our car, there is one of which we have heard many times but few know what is its function, it is the camshaft, one of the most important components of the engine, because it serves so that all its elements work in a coordinated way.

The camshaft forces on the valves causing them to open, then by means of cushioning, when the cam moves it closes again. This force does not apply to the center of the valve but with some laterality, so that it turns on itself avoiding wear.

The camshaft also plays an important role in the distribution of oil and in the operation of the fuel pump.

Changing spark plugs in a car is very important for proper operation. How often should you change your spark plugs? The user's manual suggests that they should be changed every 24,000 miles, or at least every 12 months according to the constant use of your car. Would you like to know how you could replace it?

The piston is a metal element in the shape of a cone that is inside the cylinder and inside the engine block. It is closed in the upper part, open in the lower part and fastened to the connecting rod in the middle part.

The movement of the piston is up and down inside the cylinder, compresses the mixture, transmits the combustion pressure to the crankshaft through the connecting rod and forces the exit of the gases resulting from the combustion to the exhaust producing a vacuum in the cylinder that sucks the mixture.

The compression rings or rings that are in the head, serve to prevent gas escaping through the loose area between the piston and the walls of the cylinder. If your piston has broken down and you need to know how to fix it, we offer you a guide on how to repair it yourself.

A timing belt is a rubber belt that controls the timing of internal combustion engines. The belt itself is unremarkable in appearance: it is simply a rubber belt with teeth. However, it performs a vital function by ensuring that the crankshaft (which controls the pistons) and the camshaft (which controls the valves) rotate in sync.

The valves need to open and close at precisely the right moment to allow the intake of air into the engine, which in turn allows the combustion of fuel and production of energy. Incorrect timing can mean limited air intake and a compromised ability to burn fuel.

Without the timing belt, the pistons and valves fall out of sync and collide. This is a big problem, since the valves in your engine are very fragile and bend easily. One collision with the pistons is all it takes to cause a costly repair.

The intake valve fulfills the function of connecting the intake manifold with the cylinder depending on the distribution time, they are generally made of a single metal steel with chromium and silicon alloy that allows good resistance to heat and work.

It is usually tempered the metal of some areas to reduce wear such as seat, stem and head. The cooling of this valve is largely due to its contact with the combustible air mixture, which largely dissipates its temperature generally in contact with the piston rod, and its working temperature is between 200ºC and 300ºC.

The wear of the valves is a normal effect since this component withstands high temperatures and forces; so you can determine their condition when disassembled from the stock, if they have a slight mark can be reused, but always in the same place, as they have to seal against the same seat forming the tightness.

The new and improved Kia Sportage 2019 arrives

The new Kia Sportage does not suffer extreme extreme visual renewal, something understandable when it comes to a model that represents a quarter of the global sales of the brand. Under the same DNA and maintaining its essence, the Kia Sportage launches new front bumper with a larger air intake.

Its usual grill 'Tiger Noise' sports chromed inserts and gives way to its LED optics, with a modified interior appearance. The air intakes of the lateraeles also present a new design. For its part, in its rear also premieres rear bumper and new pilots. The Sportage finally launches a wide range of alloy wheels from 16 to 19 inches and five colors for your body.

In safety technology novelties, the Kia Sportage Recargada has:

1. Blind spot detector
2. Dynamax system with vector control of torque and traction
3. Automatic braking assistant in the city
4. Automatic descent control on slopes
5. Cross traffic alert
6. Cruise control

The mechanics remain intact
All the versions of the Sportage Recargada have an engine of petrol MPI, 2 liters with 16 valves DOCH AND D-CVVT, that offers a power of 155 Hp and a torque of 196 Nm.

This block is combined with two transmission options of 6 Mechanical and automatic speeds.

Fíat presents its new Fiat Toro 2019 truck

The Fiat Toro version Endurance is offered only with the well-known motorcycle 1.8 E.torQ EVO that arrives with a six-speed automatic transmission, which is capable of accelerating it from 0 to 100 km / h in 16.1 seconds, with gasoline.

The Freedom 4 × 2 MT and Freedom 4 × 4 MT versions were eliminated, leaving only the Freedom 4 × 4 AT as the start of the range. The Technology Pack stopped offering to move on to incorporate such series options. The same happened with the Volcano 4 × 4 AT, which enriched its equipment level to the maximum without available options.

Equipment that is added as standard:

Leather upholstery
New tires 18 ''
7 Airbags (front, side, curtain and knee driver)
Driver's seat with electric regulation in 8 directions and passenger in 4 directions

Guarantee of 3 years or 100,000 kilometers
